"Υγρά The Athens Fluidity Festival" is a contemporary art festival focused on performance art and feminism developed in Athens on May 16th, directed by Rosa Torres and curated by Marisol Salanova. Aiming to transmit the importance of body’s self-knowledge, mainly of the repressed ones, Ygrá is a one day festival which starts from the history of the sexual empowerment of women to face the world challenges, a difficult one where aesthetic and fashion try to dominate trough, actually, the bodies standardization. But what is a body? What is natural? What is erotic? Are the fluids erotic? Hygene products urge us to hide our liquidity, the sexualities are repressed and capitalist system medicate us more and more to fit into “normality”. Ygrá had some artworks dealing this question in order to make a fluid thinking, trying to break stereotypes to empower and reverence other sexualities out of mainstream. The artists who participated: Abel Azcona, Paola Daniele, Joulia Strauss (Pussy Riot), John Colenbrander, Veronika Goetz, Ines Kiefer, Corinna Loesel, Rebecca Silow y Melina Toelle.
